Kaseido is inspired by the Japanese words “Kasei”, which means “to transform”, and "Do" which denotes “the way”.

Effective training can be engaging, inspiring, and build the capabilities and confidence of participants, but training is often overlooked due to time or budget constraints, or simply a reliance on ineffective and outdated methodologies. VR changes that!
Our Story
For years, working in nuclear energy, oil & gas, and emergency preparedness, we experienced first-hand how traditional training in high-hazard industries was inadequate. Too often it was expensive, disconnected from reality, and failed to prepare people for the moment when everything truly mattered.
In environments where the consequences of failure are unacceptable, “good enough” training simply isn’t good enough.
That realization drove us to create Kaseido - a company dedicated to transforming how high-risk industries train their people. Through immersive VR, we deliver realistic, fail-safe environments where workers can build confidence, competence, and resilience — long before they face real-world hazards.

Jeh Cooper, Ph.D.
Founder & CEO
Dr. Jeh Cooper brings world-class expertise in human factors, organizational science, and high-reliability operations to Kaseido’s VR solutions.
With a career spanning nuclear operations, advanced manufacturing, defence, and assistive technologies, Jeh has led projects for both the Canadian and U.S. governments focused on team dynamics, emergency management, and the human factors challenges in these domains. He has also presented his research findings at national and international conferences to wide acclaim.
He has also designed and implemented human performance programs that measurably improved safety and quality outcomes for nuclear organizations — ensuring workers are not only trained, but ready for the realities of high-stakes environments.
Jeh’s unique ability to bridge scientific insight with real-world operational demands is what makes Kaseido’s VR training products so effective: realistic, fail-safe, and built for the industries where mistakes are not an option.
Jeh earned a Ph.D. in Human Factors and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Wright State University, a recognized leader in human factors research.
Dan Mitchell
Founder and VP of Sales
Dan is an emergency management professional with several years of experience in providing experienced direction leading critical programs to government, private industry, and critical infrastructure in the nuclear and oil & gas industries in Canada and the United States.
He has tactical response experience as a Nuclear Security Officer and Municipal and Industrial Firefighter Captain. He has strategically led and directed Emergency Management and Business Continuity multidisciplinary teams in both private and public sector – and has years of experience in hazard and risk mitigation and prevention within high reliability organizations and industries.
Dan is a graduate of the University of Manitoba's Criminology program. He also has certifications in Business Continuity from the Disaster Recovery Institute, and holds a myriad of NFPA, ICS, Exercise Design and Emergency Management certifications as well as being a current Master of Business Administration (MBA – Global Leadership) from the University of Fredericton.
